Kenmare Stone Circle (click here)

Kenmare Stone Circle Located 20 km south of Killarney, Kenmare is County Kerry’s first designated Heritage Town. Tis’ a Beautiful wee Town with a wealth of History!! I slept in a car park, beside a toilet block, in my car…there were a few caravans parked up for the night too and I felt completely safe 😊 The Kenmare Stones are known locally as the ‘The Shrubberies’. Another name I have read it referred to is ‘The Druid’s Circle’. This stone circle formation lies in the town of Kenmare itself, and even so, it can be difficult to find – best bet…ask

Beltany Stone Circle (click here)

Beltany Stone Circle My experience – Was feeling adventurous and set off for places unknown (as I do) came across a sign that said ‘Beltany Stone Circle’, figured what da heck and off I went! Found a small carpark and pulled up. It was just a Short walk up a beautiful wooded trail and then you come out in to a farmer’s field. Lots of sheep were grazing in a peaceful and tranquil setting. Views were amazing. You walk across the farmers field to the Stones, again views in both directions were fantastic. Now, I am not overly religious
