She was one of the people believed to have been abducted, murdered and secretly buried in Northern Ireland. The large majority of which occurred during what is called the troubles but was in essence a terror campaign mostly waged by the IRA Of the sixteen people investigated by the authorities who were called ‘the disappeared’, all were Catholics – Jean McConville was born a Protestant but converted when she married, all except Jean McConville were male, and all are believed to have been
